You can see I'm comfortable tutoring in many subjects, and that's because I have so many interests! I've been tutoring for years now, and I love being able to share my knowledge and skills with students. Although English is my native language, I've been tutoring and teaching French since 2010. I've also tutored middle school students in essay writing, and I even flew all the way to China to teach English. Most recently, I've been helping students with high school level English, ISEE preparation, high school Latin, and ESL. I absolutely love teaching! I was a French instructor at the University of Oregon from 2012-2014 while I was completing my MA, and I recently moved back to Santa Clarita to be close to my family. I've taken many education classes (at the graduate level), and I've received great reviews from my students. My focus in graduate school was teaching foreign languages and French literary history. I also ran the French club at UO and I presented at French cultural events. Most of my students were freshmen and sophomores, but before I was a college instructor, I tutored high school students in Berkeley. I am a kind and patient instructor, and I aim to develop a rapport with a student (and a trusting relationship) so that we might learn from each other how to better interact and communicate. I have an excellent grasp of English standards and grammar, and significant experience with literary traditions and analysis. I am confident that I can help even the most reluctant student to find excitement in any assignment!
