I earned both my undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and my graduate degree in computer engineering from California State University at Northridge. My academic and tutoring strengths are in the fields of science and mathematics. I currently offer tutoring services in algebra 1 & 2, calculus 1-3, differential equations, geometry, middle school math, pre-calculus, trigonometry, physics, arithmetic, algebra 3/4, electrical and computer engineering, pre-algebra, AP calculus AB & BC, AP physics 1 & 2, mechanics, electricity and magnetism, computer programming, technology and computer science, and Java. I am passionate about learning and truly believe it to be a captivating and wonderful experience but I also realize just how frustrating it can be at times. After working with students extensively over the past several years I have developed a systematic methodology for teaching and transferring knowledge to my students in a way that makes it easily accessible to them. I tend to use a lot of examples along with visual aids and analogies to help make the subject matter easier for students to comprehend. Because learning these concepts can be so challenging for students, I believe it is imperative that tutors be patient and personable so the students do not feel further alienated from learning the material.
